The Red Lion Hotel dates from around 1450. The Lounge Bar, the main hallway and part of the Restaurant are all original 15th century, as are the King Charles and John Birch bedrooms. The majority of the exposed timbers in these parts are almost 600 years old. Other areas of the Hotel have been added at various times from 17th century.
