Welcome to Weobley

Jewel in the Crown of the Black & White villages

Weobley Village Hall (Hopelands); Home

Hopelands is Weobley's Village Hall

top

Hopelands is situated on the edge of the village in Gadbridge Road.

The hall has recently been extensively renovated and now provides a wonderful venue for a variety of events such as family parties, receptions, dances, entertainments, exhibitions and meetings of all kinds.
Solar Panels
Hopelands has recently aquired solar panels. The solar panels generate electricity which goes into the national grid. The value of the electricity generated is set against the cost of the electricity the hall consumes.

View our Contribution

There is a display panel in the hall showing the amount of electricity being generated at any particular moment, together with the total amount of electricity that has been generated and the total amount of carbon emissions that have been saved since the solar panels started to operate.

Three Rooms
Getting ready for the WCC Dinner Dance

The Hackley Hall (the main hall) is 19.9 x 9.1 meters (65 x 32ft) and is licensed to hold 220 people.   It can however be sub-divided to reduce its size by about one-third. Chandeliers are available for an extra £10. 5’ diameter round tables are available in addition to rectangular ones. All the tables are free, but the hire and laundry of tablecloths for the round tables is extra, £4 per tablecloth.

The photographs below show how the hall can look when it is prepared for a party.
The walls can be lined professionally or you can decorate it yourself.
