Weobley Village Hall (Hopelands); Home

Hopelands is Weobley's Village Hall

top

Hopelands is situated on the edge of the village in Gadbridge Road and for SatNav users the postcode is HR4 8SN.

The hall was recently extensively renovated and now provides a wonderful venue for a variety of events such as concerts, family parties, receptions, dances, entertainments, exhibitions and meetings of all kinds.

The new solar panels generate electricity which goes into the national grid. The value of the electricity generated is set against the cost of the electricity the hall consumes.

The display panel in the entrance hall shows the amount of electricity being generated at any particular moment, together with the total amount of electricity that has been generated and the total amount of carbon emissions that have been saved since the solar panels started to operate.

With the help of a grant from Awards for All, the hall has
been able to introduce a new stage and elevated seating for fifty-six people which now makes the hall ideal for concerts and theatrical performances.  The recent Weobley Music Concert was a sell out and those who attended will remember the magical sound of the Remi Harris Trio with their Gypsy Jazz arrangements.

The photographs below show how the hall can look when it is prepared for a party. The walls can be lined professionally or you can decorate it yourself.
